105 teachers punished for bad behaviours at work

The said teachers were accused of absenteeism and the non-preparation of lesson notes since the beginning of the second term.

These teachers who are in the Basic Education sector in the region of Eastern were accused of the disrespect of the educational ethics and rules.

The observation was made by Hermann Oba Biya, the regional delegate of Basic education, at the end of his visit to schools in their sphere of competence, and on the basis of reports produced by his staff of departmental delegations.

He summoned the 105 teachers and principals of schools who went counter to the spirit of pedagogy organized at school. Some were conspicuously absent from their service stations while others did not prepare lesson notes, which is contrary to pedagogy.

If this behaviour persists, it can lead to bad results at the end of the school year.

In order to allow a good coverage of the programs, the regional delegate has decided to take the bull by the horns. The aim was to execute hierarchy which aims to ensure a good education for students.

For him, an hour of lesson missed is the future of a Cameroonian citizen which is thus seriously compromised. The wish of all authorities is that these teachers take full responsibility of the education of the citizens and do it well.
