110 billion FCFA for technical renovation of CRTV

The Chinese company, Star Software Technologies Company Limited will conduct the work that will last 24 months. The sales contract was signed on December 18 in Yaounde between the vice president of Startimes, Xun Gu and Communication Minister, Issa Bakary Tchiroma in the presence of the Director General of the Cameroon Radio Television, Amadou Vamoulké. Technical rehabilitation of CRTV is to provide the Office of the art technology.

For successful implementation of this project "the hopes of Cameroon are immense," insisted Issa Bakary Tchiroma. The Minister for Communication, the project should enable CRTV, to assert itself on the international level and to dock and changeover from analog to digital.

Issa Bakary Tchiroma also calls on the sense of responsibility of all stakeholders and partners in the project for technical rehabilitation of CRTV because "FCFA 110 billion does not run on the streets," he said. The Chinese company, Startimes globally recognized for its rigor and reliability, is committed to the CRTV, one of the best TVs on the continent. After signing this commercial contract, the documents will be sent to the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Planning, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, in view of the funds disbursement procedures.

To reconfigure the technical device of CRTV; work will last 24 months, but the start date still to be specified. The deep technological changes announced already raise questions about the skills that will be required of certain category of personnel. Adapt to any digital, another challenge.
