These 14 officers are pioneers of the collective weddings in their Corps. This took place under the watchful eyes of the Minister for the advancement of women and the family (Minproff), Marie Thérèse Abena Ondoa.

On this occasion, the Mayor of the commune of Yaoundé I welcomed the initiative of these first couple of police officers to enter the history of collective marriages.

From Marie Thérèse, upon thousands of complaints from women, the majority are interested in this body. "Civil marriage is the pledge of stability, security and harmony in families. So this harmony is experienced on a daily basis, couples need to focus on communication and dialogue", she recommended.
