15 -year-old raped to death in Kumba

The lifeless body of 15-year-old Stephanie Okiah was, on Monday, July 4, discovered in a bush in Nake Bongwana Village in the outskirts of Kumba after she was reportedly raped by unknown individuals.

Okiah reportedly left the house on Sunday July 3, to fetch firewood for the family but did not return home.

Eyewitnesses recount that her body was discovered under a tree in a bush following a search ordered by village authorities.Blood was reportedly discovered on some parts of her body.

Okia's remains are at the Kumba District Hospital mortuary while police have opened investigations into the matter.
