The 2014 students' Forum was launched Wednesday in Yaounde by the Pr Jacques Fame Ndongo.
The corridors of the Sports Palace in Yaoundé was filled with different student and professional structures installed to accompany pupils and students in their orientation.
They came from many universities, institutes, colleges, and also organizations and companies and are scrambling to meet their needs.
This 2014 Student Forum opened Wednesday will run under the theme: "Academic and vocational quality guidance: pledge of a decent job for the future."
According to Prof. Jacques Fame Ndongo, Minister of higher education, "Cameroonian University now offers thousands of vocational courses in all fields of competence. This forum is designed to allow students to make better choices from objective data, existing data. Cameroon universities whether they are public or private put particular emphasis on professionalization of lessons including faculty teaching."
He added: "there is also in our universities professional masters, and professional doctorates. The goal is to ensure that students do not chaotically navigate searching best channels."
It is in this framework that the different student and professional structures will publicize and extend offers of professional training at the national and international level. The Student Forum ends Friday.
