Officials of the National Fire Fighting Brigade have announced the deployment of 206 Fire Fighters to the Yaounde and Limbe stadia ahead of the 2016 women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The information was made known during an evaluation meeting marking final preparations for the 2016 Women’s AFCON and the corps’ end of year activities organized this 8th November 2016 in Yaounde.

The 206 Fire Fighters will attend to emergency cases (should there be) such as accident and disaster victims in and around the two stadia expected to be hosting thousands of spectators.

This according to officials is one of the measures put in place to ensure a hitch-free tournament.

The two day meeting which brought together senior officials of the corps from the ten Regions was chaired by Brigardier General Mahamat Ahmed at the National Fire Brigade Headquarters in Yaounde.
