3 suspected Boko Haram militants killed by Cameroonian army

At least three suspected Boko Haram fighters were killed and their weapons were seized by Cameroonian army in early morning on Friday in Cameroon's Far North Region.

"Around 1 a.m. local time, the suspected Boko Haram fighters entered Ngouraya, a village in Cameroon's Far North Region bordering Nigeria where they attempted to attack the villagers," one Cameroonian army source told Xinhua.

After being alerted, the Cameroonian security forces who are stationed in the Far North Region to fight against Boko Haram launched an attack on the suspected Boko Haram fighters, the source said, adding the fighting between the two sides lasted 3 hours.

The casualties from the fighting is not available for the moment, but the source said three bodies from the enemy were discovered at the site.
