44th National Day Parade: 9 Political parties represented

The latest innovation envisaged during this 44th edition of the National Day is the selection some political parties to participate in the marched pass exercise.

Unlike the previous years where many political parties were allowed to parade, this year’s celebration was limited to just nine Political parties among the over 300 political parties existing in Cameroon.

They were selected based on whether they were represented at the National Assembly. The following are some of the parties that were represented at the Yaounde 20th May Avenue: the leading party CPDM, the SDF, UNDP, Salvation Army, and CRM.

All the parties marched pass with bill boards and banners bearing messages as reflected on the 2016 theme: “National Integration and the Fight against Terrorism.”
