One Colonel and two Captains equally received their epaulets from South West Governor.
Some junior officers in the military corps in Buea South West Region have been awarded epaulets on Tuesday 1 July. The grade award that is at the junior level saw 70 of them upgraded to the rank of corporal.
Lieutenant Colonel Ngepi Nguewa Nicolas formerly Chief of Staff at the South West Gendarmerie Headquarters in Buea was upgrade to the rank of Colonel while the other two of the Military Corp, Tchinda Pierre and Mossombo Josue who were formerly Lieutenants were upgrade to the rank of Captains.
The colourful ceremony was presided over by the Chief Executive Officer of the South West Region, Bernard Okalia Bilai. He was assisted by colonels Ngapout Roger of the Guerite 21 BCS and Mendjana Tobi of the 10 Military Sectors all in Buea. The epaulet award ceremony comes to lay to rest the Presidential Decree of June 10, 2014 which appointed some military officers to new ranks.
