8 suspected addicts face interrogation

Eight people arrested last week at the Besseke neighbourhood in Bonaberi on charges of possession, sale and consumption of cocaine are being grilled at by police of the Central Police Station n°3 in Bonassama.

The said illicit drug addicts and merchants include Herve Landry Yempo Kom 32 years, Abdoulaye Haman 31 years, Herve Achile Ndjami Mbock 30 years, Lovell Nchang Che 29 years, Kenda Nkalle 25 years, Bienvenue Bibai 25 years, Anicette Matalla 22 years and Lazard Ewane 17 years.

They were picked up by a special team of the Rapid Intervention Unit on routine patrol in the area during the day.

Acting on an informant’s tips, the security forces immediately invaded the hideout of the illicit drug dealers.

After successfully caging the entire neighbourhood, all the eight suspects were arrested on the act as they were busy carrying out their illegal activities. They were caught with 49 packets of cocaine, and cannabis.
