The former director general of the ADC, convicted in a previous case, has once again been summoned to court.
In a new trial opened last Wednesday by the special criminal court, Ntongo Onguéné, former director general of the airports of Cameroon (ADC), responded with seven co-defendants, following indictment for: embezzlement of public funds, complicity of embezzlement of public funds, complicity of fabrication of evidence, complicity of false bank entries, etc. In total, a sum of about two billion is questioned.
The first hearing opened last Wednesday was essentially an outlet of contact between the Court and the accused. Lawyers filed their letters of incorporation. Others will do it later. This is particularly the case for the accused Sylvestre Serges Ndongo in his inability to establish counsel.
The tribunal assigned one to assist him throughout the trial but the ADC was not represented at the hearing. The case will thus be called again on 13th February for the civil party quote and appointment of counsel of the accused Sylvestre Serges.
Collegiality consists of Francis Claude Moukoury, Yvette Siéwe, Réné Lucien Eyango and Didier Edjisna, general counsel.
