Cameroonians in general and job seekers in particular have been warned against swindlers posing as recruitment agents for the electricity utility company, AES-SONEL.

Cameroonians in general and job seekers in particular have been warned against swindlers posing as recruitment agents for the electricity utility company, AES-SONEL. A release from the company's communication department sent to Cameroon Tribune on Monday August 6, says some ill-intentioned persons are announcing imminent recruitments into AES-SONEL. They guarantee places to interested applicants in exchange for FCFA 150,000. To that effect, the release warns that AES-SONEL has neither launched such a recruitment exercise nor given any mandate to any individual or agency to carry out recruitment on its behalf. To avoid falling victim to the ploy, the public is advised to call AES-SONEL emergency numbers (99119911, 77117711, 33423333) to help track down such swindlers.
