AJECAM littoral executive takes office

The “Association des Jeunes Chefs d’Entreprise et Entrepreneurs du Cameroun,” dubbed AJECAM, has a new executive with Jean Levis Marlone Malake as Coordinator. Installing the new team of four lately in Douala, a representative of the Governor of Littoral Region urged them to be responsible and disciplined.

He enjoined them to work as a team and sanitise small and medium size enterprises still operating clandestinely as well strive for value adding in enterprises. Since the Littoral Region is first in terms of the number of enterprises in the country, he congratulated the young entrepreneurs and leaders of companies for their contribution in creating wealth and reducing youth unemployment.

Speaking on behalf of the Administrative Secretary, Joseph Jean Alain Fotso, Financial Secretary, Pierre Celestin Mbomda and the Public Relations Secretary, Roger Subgo, Jean Levis Marlone Malake reiterated their commitment to work together with young enterprises, create partnership with financial institutions in order to access funding and sensitise clandestine enterprises on the advantages of making them known.

The National President of AJECAM, Cammille Onana, enumerated the four major problems enterprises face viz access to financing, capacity-building, access to information and contracts.

He mentioned that 80 per cent of young enterprises close down within two years because of difficulties to grab first contracts and insufficient funding.

He disclosed that AJECAM will help 100 entrepreneurs to set up their own enterprises. The association, made up of over 300 members, will also provide information to enterprises to enable them grow.
