French Archivist Eric Bonnemaison
As part of commemorative activities marking the World Archives Day, a round Table conference to better pave the way for a digitalized archive documentation system held this Friday June 24, 2016, at the Yaounde Advanced School of Mass Communication-ASMAC.
The round Table which was organized by a renowned French Archivist Eric Bonnemaison targeted mostly students of the Archivist and Library documentation department of the institution.
The Director of ASMAC Professor Boyomo Charles Assala who presided over the opening ceremony was optimistic about the outcome of the exchange towards the future of the Institution.
To ASMAC students, the roundtable was not only a great opportunity to clarifying their doubts but a privilege to acquire more knowledge on digitalized archives especially as the renowned archivist Eric Bonnemaison has promised to train performant students in the future on digitalized archives.
Mr. Bonnemaison’s presentations mostly focused on the advantages of digitalizing the Public and Private sector administration document. To him, the system is safer as no document can get missing or virus infected.
