Christmas and New Year have come and gone and now, it's time to calculate earnings.
Stalls and other shopping outlets have been particularly busy during the Christmas and New Year. The objective was to meet the expectations of the customers during this period by displaying products such as food, toys and other accessories of which decoration were the most prominent.
In anticipation of revenue, traders expect to have made big investments. "We have spent nearly two million F to bring stocks of costumes, suits and shoes for adults and children in Turkey," noted Edith Messina, Manager of a ready-made shop.
"We stocked our store with toys and other decorations.", noted Rodrigue Maï, Manager of a store located at Emombo. The period of affluence has come and gone, it's now time to prepare the balance sheet of sales.
In the same neighborhood, Rosine Ngandeu, Manager of a shop confessed to have sold more than half of the garments and other clothing accessories. "I realized a good sales and profits. Customers have even made me other orders," she says.
This festive period was promising for most traders except for a few. "I spent more than 300,000 F for the purchase of drinks, but I have not been able to sell half of the stock," said Gisèle Atangana, snack Manager bar at the Anguissa District. "I think that more and more people limited their spending and bought only what was essential for the feast", she concluded.
