Agbor Tabi missing from New Year wishes to President

On Thursday, January 8, at the traditional ceremony of presentation of the wishes to the Head of State, it was Magloire Séraphin Fouda who immediately followed Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, a somewhat unusual scheduling.

In protocol order, Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency, in precedence, was supposed to be followed by the Assistant Secretary-general n°1, in this case, Peter Agbor Tabi with Magloire Séraphin Fouda being n°2 rather.

This was a shift that was considered necessary because of the absence of the last Chancellor of the University of Yaoundé in the banquets hall.

According to information received, the first Rector of the University of Yaoundé I, was indeed present at the Unity Palace but was resting in his office. There were rumours in the corridors that, during the presentation of members by the State Protocol, Peter Agbor Tabi suddenly felt some discomfort.

"The Secretary-General No. 1 suffered some discomfort from fatigue, he almost blacked out", we learnt.

Our sources also reported that, recovering from this malaise, the former Director of the Institute of international relations of Cameroon (Iric) simply could not join the ranks of the personalities invited to shake hands with the head of State, arguing that he could not even stand.
