The take home message during the August 7, 2013, Akum North and South CPDM conference is the "obligation" to show gratitude on September 30 by standing solidly by the CPDM, their best development partner.

Akum-South CPDM Coordinator , Dr Chi Asafor Cornelius set the tone when it emerged from the conference that the Akum fondom is a winner with the CPDM, the careful and serious partner that contributes and is ready to triple the progress of Akum. To show for blessings is an illustrious son of the fondom, Awa Fonka Augustine, who doubles as the Governor of the Far North Region, and landmark infrastructural, health and educational projects that have impacted on the lives of the population.

Speaker after speaker at the event demonstrated the strength of the CPDM as a party for peace, unity and progress. The event presented the CPDM, Santa parliamentary and council candidates for blessings and support. In effect, Mezam II Santa CPDM section President, John B. Ndeh sounded off with Shupong Michael and Kan Moses Elroy as parliamentary aspirant and council list Head for the constituency.

The event lined up Senator Achidi Achu, Far North Governor, Awa Fonka Augustine, Akum South CPDM Coordinator, Dr Chi Asafor Cornelius, the Fon of Akum and elite with blessings for the candidates who also took time off to present themselves as God fearing candidates and crusaders for peace, unity, development and progress. It was a rare moment for the council list leader, Kan Elroy to lead special prayers for God to help the CPDM bring peace and development to the people of Cameroon.

Parliamentary candidate, Shupong Michael also took an oath of performance with a special formula for victory ahead of September 30. The conference also mobilized militants to rush and retrieve their voters' cards towards the crucial twin elections when Akum people are appealed to file out and appreciate CPDM and President Biya's actions in favour of the fondom. Curtains dropped with the Akum South and North campaign team introduced. Cash and didactic materials to needy and pupils and students who excel in academics also featured prominently.
