Alleged robber nearly lynched in Bonaberi, Douala

An alleged motorcycle thief was lynched Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in at Quatre étages in Bonaberi, in the 4th district of Douala.

Reportedly, the young man boarded a motorcycle near the Carrefour Mutzig locality, around 7:00pm. Along the way, he threatened the driver and seized the motorcycle.

The benskineur immediately alerted his comrades parked at carrefour Mutzig. They started a mass hunt for the alleged thief who was travelling at top speed. He was interrupted by another bike at a place called Quatre étages.

"He was thoroughly beaten. He had blood dripping from his ears when police officers on road control and two stationed soldiers near a bank came to his rescue," says a motorcycle driver. The alleged thief was taken to the police station for investigations.
