Madame Ambassador began by announcing a meeting in Florence, Italy in October 2014, which focuses on the general state of the Italian language in the world.
It is in fact an initiative by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international cooperation, with the collaboration of the ministries of education, University and scientific research and the Ministry of heritage and cultural activities and tourism of this country.
This forum would be an opportunity to deepen strategies of diffusion of the Italian language abroad and make points in a constructive manner on the new challenges to face. It should be noted that the Italian language is the fourth most studied foreign language in the world.
