Amity International College celebrates excellence

The graduation of the sixth batch of the secondary section and the eighth batch of the primary section took place on Saturday May 28, 2016 in Yaounde.

It was a special day for the students, staff and administration of the Group Amity International College, Yaounde, on Saturday May 28, 2016. The event was the graduation of the sixth batch of the secondary section and the eighth batch of the primary section.

Speaking at the occasion, the Minister of Secondary Education, Jean Ernest Masena Ngalle Bibehe said government was working hard to ensure quality education for all.

He added that the nation cannot undermine the important role played by international partners and institutions like Amity International College in providing an ideal learning environment for Cameroonian children. Jean Ernest Masena Ngalle Bibehe called on students to continue to work hard so as to always be the best.

The event was spiced with rhymes, songs and dancing by the students and pupils of the secondary, primary and nursery sections. The best students in the Amity Mathematics Competition received special recognition, as well as teachers who have served in Amity International College over the years. There were also testimonials for graduating students and pupils.

Founded in September 2003 with three students in Yaounde, the institution has continued with its progress. Today, the institution has 1,100 students in six schools, three modern secondary school campuses in Yaounde, Douala and Ngaoundéré.

Presently, 400 students have completed secondary education in Amity International College. Out of the number, 200 are continuing their studies in 48 universities in the world and 200 others in different institutions in Cameroon.
