Android ‘madmen’ invade Kumba

A new phenomenon of ‘madmen’ with phones, books, solar panels and documents is gaining grounds in Kumba.

Since January 2016, the calibre of madmen roaming around major spots in the heart of the city remains suspicious in the eyes of the population.

One of such suspicious madmen is found around the former TreasuryDepartment. From time to time, he is seen making phone calls.On other occasions, he will be seen reading books.

Recently, this reporter spotted the same madman brandishing a national identity card and crisscrossing the road.

Besides him, there are others who appear at one time either begging for eru to go and prepare water fufu with and vice versa. Others on their part drink leftovers from beer bottles. In the process, the get drunk and sleep for hours beside the road.
