Anne Marie Nzie's journey to eternity begins

The mortal remains of Cameroon's music icon, Anne Marie Nzie have been removed from the mortuary of the Yaounde Central Hospital on July 21,2016.

The corpse removal was followed by a brief stop at the National Museum and procession to the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.

An all-night cultural vigil shall follow at the Sports Complex after which the mortal remains of the artist shall be conveyed to her home in Cité Verte, Yaounde then to her hometown, Bibia in Lolodorf where she will be buried on July 23, 2016.

Arts and Culture Minister, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi will represent H.E. President Paul Biya at the funeral.

Anne Marie Nzie who has an over 50-year music career died on May 24, 2016, at the Yaounde Central Hospital, following ill health.
