This invention has just been designated "best development initiative" by the jury of Africa Telecom People, for his African touchpad for medical use.
For three years, this young man of 27 years received favors from the media and scientific boards for having set up the Cardiopad which allows patients to be consulted from a distance and allows the heart rates of patients to be transferred via Gsm.
Despite the more or less justified criticism, he shared the star a few days ago with Elisabeth Medou Badang, DG of Orange Cameroon, designated by the Board of Africa Telecom People (ATP) best manager of telecom in Africa for the year 2014. He received the distinction of "best development initiative.”
President Biya has instructed that the Government make available 20 million CFA FRANCS for the mass production of the Cardiopad.
He was inspired by relatives with heart disease, in the town of Mbankomo, where he lived with his mother, Félicité who was a nurse and Jean Zang Zang his father, Professor in Linguistics.
After completing at the Faculty of sciences where he earned a degree in computer science in 2007, Arthur integrated in the third year at École nationale supérieure Polytechnique of Yaoundé for a programme in engineering.
He had a dream developing a digital electrocardiograph. With the support of Prof. Samuel Kariuki, then head of cardiology at the general hospital of Yaoundé, he studied an online course on electronic and digital systems through an Indian University. Arthur Zang then mounted the Cardiopad project.
