Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC, Moderator, Rt. Rev. Samuel Fonki Forba, has called on the authorities of the country to attend to the needs of the masses.

Speaking recently, at the induction ceremony of Rev. Jones Ayuk Ebot as the Presbyterial Secretary for the Moungo Presbytery and of PC Bonaberi, the PCC Moderator enjoined Christians and Cameroonians, in general, to eschew corrupt ways and embrace Christ.

Drawing inspiration from the Revelations of John Chapter 1: 9-18, the PCC Moderator called on the administration of Cameroon to stop diverting attention and attend adequately to the needs of the suffering masses.

The Moderator, preaching on the theme; “Being Turned, I saw”, reminded Christians that it is only during rough times that Jesus reveals himself.

“Jesus loves rough times,” said the Moderator. “So, if you are still seeing the world through its numerous ills, then, turn and see the Lord.”

Rev. Ayuk Ebot Commissioned

Commissioning Rev. Ayuk Ebot, the Moderator urged him to turn the people in Douala, especially in Bonaberi, around to see the Lord’s glory.

“Turn them from their misery, hopelessness in the busy city of Douala. Before winning more souls for Christ, make sure you are not yourself swallowed in the city,” Rev. Fonki cautioned Rev. Ebot.

The Moderator called on Rev. Ebot not to fear, “for, the heavenly Father is with you, as you turn God’s people to Christ.”

Earlier, the Synod Clerk of the PCC, Rev. George Babila Fochang, after reading out an elaborate biography of the new Presbyterial Secretary of the Moungo, said he is fit for the job.

On his part, the Rev. Ebot thanked God for choosing him to lead his flock in the Moungo Presbytery. He enjoined all and sundry to collaborate with him to accomplish the mission he has been assigned.
