This is the objective of the Secretary of State for defence of the National Gendarmerie who visited the Ayos-Bertoua axis in Yaounde on Saturday.

Joseph David Nkoe, motorist was charged to pay 25,000 F for excess speeding. He was flashed with the radar while he was travelling at more than 75 km / h instead of 50 km/h as expected on this route.

"I am really outraged and annihilated to pay such a sum on the eve of the new school year. It is really hard as a sanction," he said. At the same time, a dozen of users were stopped for the same offence.

The Secretary of State for defence of the National Gendarmerie, Jean-Baptiste Bokam accompanied by a team raided the area last Saturday. This, in effect was to limit and reduce the number of accidents and deaths on this stretch on the eve of the reopening of school where road traffic is denser.

According to Jean-Baptiste Bokam, the purpose of this visit is to "raise awareness to road users so that they can dispose of offences such as drunk driving.

"Identified offences related mainly to speeding. Nearly 90 cases were counted. Bursting loads, non-wearing of seat belts, the shortcomings of national identity, badly stowed baggage cards, etc. are also part of these offences", said Benjamen Ndongo Ndongo, Commander of n ° 1 road grouping.
