Azhar ready to set up institutes in Cameroon

Al Azhar Grand Sheikh Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb said Al Azhar is ready to support Cameroon in the educational and preaching domains.

During a meeting with Cameroonian Ambassador to Egypt Mohamadou Labarang on Sunday August 9, 2015, Tayyeb said the religious institution is also keen to offer scholarships to Cameroonian students and establish Azhar institutes in the sub-Saharan African country.

For his part, the Cameroonian envoy said the Azhar mission in his country is being well cared for by the government, which appreciates Azhar envoys’ efforts in spreading the true Islam.
