A little girl Lovita, 2, was found dead on September 11, 2014 in a water logged garbage pit in Yaounde.

According to her mother, Cynthia T., the little girl had drowned in a water-logged garbage pit near her tailoring workshop on that fateful day after having gone missing for over three hours.

She searched everywhere and even called her husband, Timothy, who rushed to police and radio stations to make announcements.

Later, an onlooker suggested that they search the pit and as she joined her husband to move dirt from the pit, she found the girl’s hand. In shock, she quickly alerted her husband who came and pulled the girl out.

Sadly, Lovita was already dead but the fact that she had no swollen stomach remains a mystery to her parents.
