Bike rider drugged, bike snatched in Douala

To Samba Donatus, a bike rider in Douala, the last weekend was a dark one. Following a dinking spree, his bike was snatched and made away with by yet unidentified men of the underworld.

Samba Donatus and his friends were in a beer parlour in Akwa that Friday evening when just the first bottle of beer he took suddenly dozed him off.

Having been awakened by the bartender minutes later, Samba Donatus found that his friends were nowhere to be found and that his Sanili bike parked nearby was no longer there. He began a series of phone calls but none of his friends testified being aware of what had happened.

To him, there was some drugs in the drink but unknown to him until he had finished it and became drowsy. “I bought the bike new at FCFA 300,000 just two months ago.” He promised to lodge a complaint at a police station today.
