The President of the Republic, Paul Biya, signed and published this Monday, April 18, 2016, two decrees appointing the Plenipotentiary Minister Iya Tidjani(pictured) at the head of two new embassies of the Republic of Cameroon.
The first decree appoints Iya Tidjani, to the post of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to the Emirate of Kuwait with residence in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. The second decree appoints the same Iya Tidjani, to the post of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to the Emirate of Qatar with residence in Riyadh.
Before these two new appointments, Iya Tidjani was for many years head of the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Cameroon in Saudi Arabia with authority in nearby countries such as Bahrain, Oman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc.
