The heads of State of Cameroon and Niger met Saturday in Dakar, shortly before the opening of the Summit of la Francophonie.

Although nothing had filtered out of their 15 minutes meeting, we know that the two statesmen share some concerns.

Bordering the Lake Chad and Nigeria neighbours, their two countries regularly receive streams of refugees from this sister country plagued by almost daily violence of the Boko Haram sect, though they suffer attacks.

At summits of the Elysée in May and Niamey in October, the heads of State of the sub-region undertook to pool their efforts in this situation.
