Indeed, while several authorities and personnel at the General treasury in Yaoundé, their colleagues of Ebolowa, and former officials of the Treasury in the towns of Kribi and Monatélé, are being prosecuted for "complicity of embezzlement of public funds", a list comprising military and civilian magistrates, and military personnel was never questioned despite the evidence that the latter had indeed unloaded large sums from the Treasury, amounting to 4.6 billion Cfa francs.

Those cited includes the gendarmerie captain and training clerk, Office Manager at the military court in Yaoundé, Fidèle Tafochou, who, according to accusations needs to answer for 2.8 billion francs. Again the captain of the army, head of the military court in Yaoundé, Martin Tchinda, who discharged slightly more than 510 million francs.

As for Moïse Ntyam Minla'a, he has to answer for 205 million francs. In the same vein, Isaac Tchouta, Simon Bella, Cyrille Guemo Atongfack, Joachim Mebenga, Mouchili Adayirou, as well as Aboubakar Minabou will also account respectively for 695 million francs, 240 million francs, 1.5 billion franc, 250 million, 68 million francs and 93 million francs.

However, it is surprising that the Attorney general at the special criminal court (CHT), has decided to classify the documents and sets the former Tpg of Yaoundé free.

Why must some be queried while others go un touched despite a statement by the president of the Republic ordered that all the persons involved in this issue in this case, be tried.
