Blood donation: Doctors lead by example

The four-day campaign which was launched this 5th October 2016 is brainchild of the Cameroon Association of Medical Doctors in Cameroon, MEDICAMER.

According to the Secretary General of the association, the doctors are out to show the example.

The Director General of the Yaounde Central Hospital, Prof Pierre Joseph Fouda explained that the doctors are sending out a message, as live savers.

This campaign comes in at a time when statistics indicate that Cameroon needs more than 140,000 packets of blood every year.

Though the campaign ends in Yaounde on 8th October 2016, it is expected to spread to other towns of the country in the days ahead.
