The jihadist group of the Islamic state (IS) has accepted its allegiance with the Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram and assured that it would continue its expansion, according to an audio recording broadcast Thursday and presented as a discourse from the spokesman of the IS, Abou Mohamed al-Adnani.

"We announce to you the good news of the expansion of the Caliphate in the West Africa because the Caliph, who is preserved by God, accepted the allegiance of our brothers from the Sunni group for preaching and jihad".

In a 30-minute recording posted on social networks, Adnani asked Muslims "to return to West Africa to join their brothers in fighting ".

Boko Haram, which is estimated to have several thousand fighters multiplies bloody attacks in the cities of Northern Nigeria and the massacres of villagers in remote areas in this country and sometimes in neighbouring States.

The IS, for its part, seized large parts of the territory of Iraq since June and large areas in neighboring Syria, and declare them a Caliphate. "Our Caliphate resists and advance in the right direction and assured steps. We fight the Crusaders and the rafidah (the Shiite community, ED) and day after day, the Islamic State becomes strong," said Adnani in the record.
