Apart from this catastrophic news, ten people were also killed since the beginning of this month by elements of the sect.

On the nights of 13th and 14th September 2014, the Christian community of the district of Mayo Moskota in the department of Mayo- Tsanaga lived dark moments.

Six localities: Vréké, Mouldouga, Barai, Djibrili, Cherif-Moussary and Achigachia were put under the cut of the elements of Boko Haram. In their destroying madness, they burnt down ten churches belonging essentially to the Union of the evangelic churches in Cameroon.

Since then, the Christian communities of the area are migrating to find solace somewhere else. "They arrived at neighbouring villages on motor cycles" says Barai, of Cherif-Moussary and Mouldouga.

I saw them from my refuge in the mountain, like all the inhabitants of the village besides. We all were rendered homeless thus lodged in the mountains, the fields or the caves. Therefore, nobody can say how much they were nor of which weapons they had ", testified an inhabitant of Vréké.

The premonitory signs of this attack were perceptible before several days, because the elements of Boko Haram had announced their attack against the village, and they had also infiltrated the sector.

September 12, 2014, a vehicle transporting 9 men of military behaviour and three others of boubous stopped at the foot of the Vréké mountain. The following day, a few hours before the attack, five vehicles filled of unknown passengers also crossed the village for an unknown destination.

The intrigued committee of vigilance gave an alarm, and thus the people emptied the village to find refuge elsewhere.

Elements of Boko Haram aboard motor cycles entered the village. They there ransacked and set fire the presbytery and churches on fire.
