Tago Dja Ludovic, a suspected member of a robbery gang that has been causing havoc in the Bonapriso neighbourhood of Douala was arrested on Friday, August 3, 2015, following a strategy put in place by the Bonanjo Police Mobile Intervention Unit N°2.

According to police officials, reports of rampant assault, rape and bike theft have been rampant in the part of Bonanjo known as Marché des Fleurs.

Their mode of operation was simple. An accomplice boards a commercial bike that will pass through Marché de fleur where his colleagues were deployed to intercept, molest and rid the rider of his money and bike. Another method was to flag down bikes in the area, seize money and valuables and even molest and rape women.

In order to bring the suspected robbers to book, the Police Mobile Intervention Unit N°2 devised a plan that worked perfectly. Stationed around Marché de Fleur, they saw a bike carrying a passenger that was heading for the target direction. They discreetly followed the bike and when the men of the underworld were about to strike, the policemen descended on them and arrested Tago Dja Ludovic, who is now helping the Judicial Police on how to get the other members.
