A delegation of 12 people who include the wife and family members of the Central African Republic's deposed leader François Bozize arrived at Batouri in eastern Cameroon on Tuesday, local officials told Xinhua.
The local administrative authorities in the same town had earlier received three soldiers who were members of Bozize's presidential guard.
The family members and the presidential guards joined Bozize who is currently in Cameroon as he awaits to know which country will host him.
A local security source said that it was due to the fear of reprisal attacks from the new authorities that the family members and the presidential guards sought refuge in Cameroon.
However, Michel Djotodia, the head of Seleka rebel coalition who declared himself as the president of the Central African Republic, told the press in Bangui that he will not engage in witch-hunt.
"In the capital, activities are resuming slowly and some businesses have started opening. In the streets, there are many people, very few civilian vehicles but many military vehicles," said George Georgantas, the head of delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Central African Republic, who spoke to Xinhua on phone.
He lamented that there was a high number of injured people who were being treated by ill equipped medical staff in health centers and also complained about the power black-out that has been experienced in the whole town since Saturday. (Xinhua)
