French company, Cegelec that is involved in construction, public works and related activities recently won a contract worth FCFA 1Billion to light up the city of Yaoundé for 2 years.
This was revealed in a communiqué published by Gilbert Tsimi Evouna , the Government Delegate to the Yaoundé City Council.
According to the contract, Cegelec will be working on the maintenance of 7000 lighting spots, the maintenance of control cabinets, the restoration in the event of disaster, the maintenance of traffic lights of 15 crossroads, the restoration of traffic lights of 6 crossroads including equipment design and supply.
Present in Cameroon since 1979, Cegelec Cameroon is established in Douala.
It is specialized in construction and public works and related activities and also intervenes in various sectors of activity such as installing and maintaining public lighting, industrial maintenance, energy production and distribution and the carrying out of major EPC projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
