CEP Results Out

Results of the 2013 session of the "Certificat d'Etudes Primaire" (CEP) or First School Leaving Certificate for Francophones, have been published in all the ten regions of the country.

In the Mfoundi Division of the Centre Region, results are published in the divisional Inspectorates of Basic Education in all the seven subdivisions. At the Government Primary School Nkolndongo in Yaounde IV Subdivision, parents were seen checking on the names of their children on the notice board carrying the lists of successful candidates.

Cameroon Tribune reporters gathered that for this year's examination out of the 9001 candidates registered for the examination, 8,763 wrote and 8117 passed. The percentage participation is 97.36 per cent and percentage pass is 92.63 per cent.

Christine Bissouth née Bissené-Abana, pedagogic inspector of basic Education said the performance has improved this year in the Yaounde IV Subdivision as compared to last year. Last year, 8,910 candidates registered and 7000 passed, scoring 87 percent. At press time yesterday, the results of the different subdivisions were still expected at the Divisional Delegation of Basic Education.
