Some interesting developments came up in the government's press release last Monday. It was not signed by the person in charge of communication in the Ministry of Defense, as is the case since the beginning of hostilities. This release was signed this time by Issa Tchiroma Bakary, the Minister of Communication.

Again, the press release once at Crtv, was read by the director of Radio information, Alain Belibi, and not by the presenters as is often the case.

Normally, the victory was overwhelming, according to the authorities. The government of the Republic vowed that the Cameroon army has killed a hundred combatants of Boko Haram Saturday. In fact, according to the government, following the attack in Fotokol, the army "vigorously" responded by killing a hundred members of Boko Haram.

The Government further explained that this victory has caused the displacement of the elements of the sect to Nigeria by approximately 7 km. Beyond this victory last Saturday, there were others. September 4, 2014, the sect fired rockets on Fotokol from Gambaru Ngala in early evening. The Cameroonian army furiously responded vigorously and according to sources, it left about fifty dead.

At this time, the sect wanted at any price to destroy the bridge El Beid, to prevent a part of the Nigerian army to fold in Cameroon. The combatants of Boko Haram wanted, in cutting off this bridge, escape any attack of this Nigerian army. What is clear is that, the Cameroonian army is fighting for the safeguarding of our territorial integrity. The main field of battle at this time, is therefore Fotokol, in the Logone and Chari.
