A seminar for the training of personnel at the Ministry of Justice started on Monday in Ngaoundéré. The current approach of the Ministry of Justice is to produce and disseminate within each semester a statistical bulletin.

To achieve this goal, the Chancery has initiated a series of training sessions across the country. Issues and the methodology of work of these trainings focused on the production of judicial and prison statistics, explained by the main actors of the judicial system.

The judges, staff of the registries in service in the courts and prisons, the prison administration in activity in regions of the far North, North and Adamawa, are the main beneficiaries of this recycling that will last five days.

The challenges of this seminar were presented by Michel Mahouvé, Director of non-repressive Affairs and the seal to the Chancellery, representative of the Minister of State, Minister of Justice, Garde des Sceaux.

He acknowledged that "tradition of statistics seems be lost within the courts, but still, the statistics sent to the Chancery are not always made according to standards that could make their easy exploitation."

In the field of the production of the judicial and prison statistics, the Minjustice is in 'trolling '. This situation is not always possible to assess its fair measure, yet important activity is shot to death by the courts", he regretted. Minjustice will go up a notch by publishing a statistical bulletin each semester.

In a context of improving public governance and the modernization of its methods of work, the Department of Justice looks towards the "international requirements for the protection of human rights", argued the head of delegation.
