Under the banner of the synergy of organizations of young Cameroonian Patriots in defence of the sovereignty and integrity of Cameroon, these young people mostly from the North, intend to work with the Cameroonian authorities in the fight against the Islamist sect Boko Haram through the awareness of the populations of the northern part.
Officials of the synergy of organizations of young Cameroonian Patriots for the defence of the sovereignty and integrity of Cameroon revealed through an explanation that: "we are not an association of young people in the North, we are a synergy of association of Cameroonian Patriots, so we are open to young people from all regions of Cameroon. It is the far North initiating the move from that geographical location as well as its governing bodies", says Abdouramane, one of the leaders of this movement.
In May in Yaounde, the synergy was formed with the aim to support the head of State and the Cameroonian authorities in their fight against what this association refused to qualify as a destabilization of Cameroon by a small group of 'rebellion '. "we are on the ground, Boko Haram is Nigerian, it is due to poverty in the northern part which allows them to settle there and recruit young Cameroonian people who serve as their 'courier fils'” says Ahmat Mohamed, president.
This is the reason for which the association invites Governments to take development policies in the North to cut the grass under the feet of Boko Haram.
According to the leaders of this synergy, more than 300 associations of young people have organised movements, which they claim is aimed at creating a solid implementation both at the national and international level to help the Cameroonian authorities, mainly the defence and security forces, to hunt down the members of this Islamist sect through the collection of information.
Recent weapon between elites of the Lékié and the president of the National Assembly, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril to the subject of Boko Haram, Sozh "condemns the slanderous schemes of politicians for the destabilization of social peace. We are not at the time of placement, this is the time of action and prayers to eradicate this Islamist sect, says a member the association.
In their fight, the youth called upon the support of the Northern elites which, according to them, are often cut off from local people. Over a hundred of thousands of Members wish that they hold a press conference in the coming days as well as organize a support contract to say no to the destabilization of Cameroon.
