Henri Eyebe Ayissi, the Minister delegate at the Presidency in charge of CONSUPE, recently revealed that Contrôle Supérieur de l’Etat (CONSUPE) has sanctioned eleven managers of public funds during a session held by the institution from 18 January to July 03, 2014.
Mayor of Moloundou municipality in the East of Cameroon was spotted out as the head of these unscrupulous managers. The Council of budgetary and financial discipline, CONSUPE held against him, 10 mismanagement faults of which seven resulted to a financial loss from 2002 to 2008.
Jean-Jacques Epando was recognized as a debtor to the municipality, with a debt of 308 million CFA and has been summoned by CONSUPE to pay a special fine of 2 million for all misconducts in this case.
Among the other 10 decisions rendered by CONSUPE, the heaviest loads weighed on: The monitoring and control engineer at the former provincial delegation of domains and land Affairs in the North, he was held for a debt of 13.99 million F with a special fine of 500,000 CFA FRANCS for his management fault from 2002 to 2007; the former head of the sub-division of public works at Abong-Mbang, Eastern region. He was charged with 3.58 million F CFA, and special fine of 300,000 CFA, for management faults from 2002 to 2007, and lastly the Office Manager for Construction at the sub-division of public works at Betaré Oya in the East. He too was pin-pointed as a debtor to the State of about 4.41 million CFAF and a fine of 300,000 CFA francs for management faults from 2009 to 2012.
The other authorizing officers and public wealth managers pinned by CONSUPE have been recognized as debtors for a sum ranging from 151,000 FCFA to 1.14 million FCFA in monitoring missions, audit or verification prepared by State inspectors.
