CPA delegates resume session after leisure trip

The Commonwealth Delegates attending the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference have effectively resumed their working sessions after a leisure trip geared at visiting tourist sites in Cameroon.

The session resumed with a meeting of the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) and the Society of Clerks-at-the-Table.

Prior to these meetings, the delegates split into groups, were treated to a tour of some towns in Cameroon including Mbalmayo, Kribi, Limbe and Buea on Tuesday 7th September, 2014.

The Commonwealth Representatives were thrilled with a canoe race and the magnificent 50th Anniversary monument in Limbe and Buea, respectively. Meanwhile, they made a stop-over in Kribi were they marvelled at the outstanding beauty of the Lobe fall.

Upon return to Yaounde, the over 800 delegates have set-off to work with workshops on the role of the parliament in women empowerment, the importance of good governance in the 21st century and the role of educating the youth towards sustainable development, amongst others.
