CRTV gets advanced musical console

The Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV) has acquired a digitised and interactive musical terminal known as e-kiosk.

The new equipment was handed over this Tuesday, 10th March 2015 to CRTV General Manager, Amadou Vamoulke at the CRTV radio broadcasting centre in Nlongkak.

The musical terminal contains over 10.000 rehabilitated Cameroonian songs dating back to the 1960’s.

After receiving the new equipment, Mr Amadou Vamoulke thanked the German cooperation for the success of the project saying the music terminal is a real treasure to the CRTV. This he explained is because old songs thought to have been long lost were successfully retrieved.

A representative of the German Embassy noted that the public will be richly thrilled with the content, which Mr Amadou Vamoulke describes as specific, original and rare.

The CRTV boss implored his members of staff to make good use of the new equipment.

The project was realised through cooperation with some German technicians. The German charged with the project spent over two years cleaning rusted tapes and retrieving the songs within them.
