On his part the French expert, Frederik Boulay outlined the advantages of digital Television. He said digital broadcasting is characterized by improved broadcast quality and available band width for multiple channels.

This explains why, as a media of public service, the government decides that CRTV should set up six additional Television channels after the switch over.

TV producers taking part in the workshop have cautioned against financial constraints that might slow down the production of programs to meet the needs of these new channels.
