Setting the pace in leadership is typical of the Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB).
Students, staff and faculty of the School of Business during their community services gave the Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind (RCB) popularly known as Bulu blind centre a facelift.
During the Community service, the students did a thorough clean up of the dormitories, yards, refectory as well as the kitchen. While some students brought beauty to the disable children by changing their hairstyles, others took turns to fetch water for them.
According to the students, it was a wonderful experience to share, bring love and extend a helping hand to the needy. They remarked that spending time with the children brought joy to them and the kids of RCB. On her part Takubetang Pamela said she was moved emotionally by the needs of the children saying she will always endeavor to extend a helping hand to them whenever she can.
Cyprain Mbou Faculty of the School of Business said while community service is imperative, it is also a learning process for the students considering that they are being trained as professional servant leaders who have to give back to their community.
