This main recommendation was made yesterday during the installation of the new DG of the National airline in Douala. The new Director General of the national airline, Cameroon airlines corporation (Camair-Co) is since June 25, 2014 in control.

Jean Pierre Nana Sandjong, brought to the top by the national campaign of June 20, following a special Governing Council was installed by the Minister of transport (Mintransports), Robert Nkili in Douala.

The installation ceremony of the fourth DG of "The star of Cameroon" has been devoted to the recommendations of the appropriate Minister at the Mayor of Bazou in the Department of the Nde, Western region.

Mintransports boss has urged the new Director General, in the immediate future, to revise certain contracts. “I ask immediately that they begin the revision of contracts that have sealed the Treasury of Camair-Co. I said nine months ago," he said.

This requirement of the Mintransports to the former DG, Frédéric Mbotto during his installation in September 2013, Douala has therefore never been executed by the latter.

On the other hand, Robert Nkili demanded "prestige spending reduction." A reduction, which obviously, if possible goes ahead to cancel, 'prestige flights' which are not profitable to the company.

Indeed, since the launch of the inaugural flight on April 28, 2011, the rate for flights remains largely below expectations. "Empty planes should not be sent and brought back empty. This overload the indebtedness of the company," argues Mintransports.

The National Company’s losses are today estimated at 21.3 billion CFA francs. Added to that, a debt of approximately 15 billion Fcfa and an aircraft, the Boeing 737-700 of the company, Aviation capital Group, locked at the airport of Roissy in France for non-payment of the rental fee.

Camair-Co has lead in the wing. The sexagenarian (born October 7, 1953 in Douala) is therefore on the plate.

The latter should, above all, 'make a real business plan and a charge notebook' to submit within a short time to the Directors and the supervising Minister.

With a fleet of one aircraft, the "TDI" under constant review, an aircraft seized by the owner, a debt of 21 billion CFA francs and a poisonous social atmosphere, Jean Pierre Nana Sandjong must achieve the feat to "take off" Camair-Co.

His success will go through the revision of contracts of the company, the reduction of expenditures for prestige and "respect for the hierarchy of trusteeship, members of the Board of Directors and all employees", says Robert Nkili.

The aircraft mechanic must not fish as his predecessor. Frederic Mbotto Edimo, aeronautics expert present at the ceremony, also pays, according to some employees, the price of his "arrogance."

Mintransports boss advises the new boss of the airline to be "pragmatic and be at the top of everything."

In any case, Jean Pierre Nana Sandjong is no stranger to all the problems of the company, for working as a claimant and assistant since February 2013 on the Board of Directors as a member.

He is also Petri experience in civil aviation. The arrival of new aircraft as advertised is "prominent".
