Camair-Co’s top management has denied reports that its aircrafts were forbidden to fly over France and some European countries.

John Paul Nana Sandjo, head of the national airline has reassured customers and Cameroonians that Camair-Co has certificates allowing it to fly across European air space.

In a statement issued to the press late on Friday, the General Manager stated that, "Camair-Co continues to provide its services to Europe including the Charles De Gaulle International airport".

The controversy started when a local media reported that the French Chief Executive Officer for Civil Aviation (DGCA) wrote to Camair-Co on May 19, 2015 demanding the national airline to provide a certificate proving that it has authorization to fly the European Union skies in the absence of an Acc3 certification.

Other Cameroon media sources hinted recently that on May 14, the company Willis Air Services Leasing announced it was no longer an item with Camair-Co in order to signify its intention to break the partnership that binds them over renting a reactor used by the Boeing 767 called "Dja" for 9 months.
