The Minister of External Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella and the Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon, Wei Wenhua have examined ways of strengthening the Sino-Cameroon cooperation, which the latter has described as excellent not only in international affairs but also in the economy.

The audience granted the Chinese diplomat on Monday August 22, 2016, also provided an opportunity for both men to examine international and regional affairs.

Ambassador Wei Wenhua told Cameroon Tribune shortly after the audience that China and Cameroon are continuing discussions on how to implement the achievements of the China-Africa conference that held last year in Johannesburg, South Africa. “Our discussions centred on how to advance our cooperation.

Last month the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Louis Paul Motaze, was in China where he signed a series of conventions with the Chinese government. This is just part of our cooperation and a lot of projects are still in the pipeline”, he said.

The Chinese Ambassador said they also discussed on possible cooperation in the area of aeronautics especially in the training of Cameroonian pilots.
