The Cameroonian Consumers League denounced the proposed increase in the m3 of water at the beginning of the year 2015 by the companies responsible for the distribution of water in Cameroon and decided to hire a certain number of shares.

At the end of a meeting for the assignment of the Monitoring Committee of the performance contract between the State and Camwater which was held Thursday, October 02, 2014, one of the main resolutions is the introduction of a new tariff structure application. "During a meeting between the Government, the state and Camwater, introduced an application for new tariff structure which will be made effective January 1, 2015.

"But we understand that this request is intended to revise upward the price of drinking water", says Delors Magellan Jyotika, president of the CCL.

In such a context, the CCL decided at its weekly meeting last Friday to take resolutions. The first action of the NGO is to remind the Prime Minister of the need for estoppel to this request for the monitoring of the contract of lease and performance Committee.
